Vortex began in the mid-80's when the Hamilton family moved to Wisconsin and opened a store selling supplies to people who loved wildlife and the outdoors. It didn't take long to see the need for supplying our customers with good optics, and that started what grew to be a major part of our business. We sold  all the popular brands and, by listening to our customers, helped the industry develop and market many of the innovative features you see in modern optics today. Fast-forward to the mid 90's when we started our own brand of affordable, high performing binoculars and the responseencouraged us to forge ahead. A few years ago, we decided to develop a brand of highly sophisticated products designedto meet the needs of the most demanding and discriminating observers — the brand you know as Vortex.

If we were to describe what Vortex stands for in three simple words they would  be:

People — The Customer is King. We not only believe this is true, but we actually treat you, our dealers and customers, like royalty. That means we care about all  the little things long after the sale is made. If you ever have a problem with one of our products, then we make that our problem, no questions asked. We started out with the idea that we were in this business for the long haul and we intend to keep it that way — just take a look at our unconditional and unlimited VIP warranty and you'll see what we mean.

Products — Excellence and Innovation. Our research and development expertise has grown to where we have been ableto bring to market such unique and exceptional products like the Razor binocular and the Viper riflescope. We pay attention to detail in everything we do to make sure we offer you the finest in rugged outdoor optics. Look for more exciting and innovative products to come as we've got a lot more ideas up our sleeve.

Promises — Say what we mean and mean what we say. At Vortex, we pledge uncommon excellence and dedication toour customers in every aspect of our business. Our company's values and commitments are a reflection of our staff and their unwavering dedication to doing their best every day. Keeping our promises is not only good business; it's the right thing to do.

People, Products and Promises. Three magic words that say we really care and why...Vortex is the Force of Optics- U.S. Owned and Operated Since 1986.
